JUNHYEOK FELIX PARK (baritone)

Born in South Korea in 1997, baritone Junhyeok Felix Park made his operatic debut in 2024 as Ping in Turandot, a production by AsLiCo that toured more than thirty theatres across the Lombardy region. His performance was widely praised by Italian critics and media for the power and charm of his voice.

He reprised the same role at the opening of the Como Opera Festival, held in honor of the centenary of Puccini’s death.

He was later cast as Marcello in La Bohème during the 2024/25 opera season in the theatres of Brescia, Pavia, Cremona, and Como—where the opera was staged for the first time in the history of that theatre.

Most recently, he performed the role of Ford in Verdi’s Falstaff, once again on tour across more than thirty Italian theatres.

His upcoming engagements include the role of Sharpless in Madama Butterfly and baritone soloist in Carmina Burana.

He graduated with top honors from the College of Music at Kyung Hee University in South Korea. Nationally, he has garnered attention by winning numerous singing competitions, including the Korean Vocal Competition and the Korean Art Song Competition.

Park was the first Korean artist to win both the First Prize and the Audience Prize at the 75th AsLiCo International Competition, which also marked his debut in Italy. His competition success continued with First Prizes at the Salvatore Licitra and Agora International Competitions, along with distinctions at the Magda Olivero and Bellano Competitions. He recently performed in a gala concert in Milan organized by Equivoci Studio, further establishing his presence in the Italian vocal scene.

He is the winner of the First Prize and Audience Prize at the Giuditta Pasta Competition, the Male First Prize at the Spazio Musica Competition in Orvieto, the Audition Prize from Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, and the Royal Opera House of Muscat Prize.

In July 2025, Junhyeok Felix Park was awarded Second Prize at the prestigious Portofino International Opera Competition, judged by representatives of some of the world’s leading Opera Houses.

He is currently studying at the “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatory of Music in Como under the guidance of Paola Romano, and continues his professional training as a member of the AsLiCo Academy. He has participated in masterclasses with renowned artists such as Maria Grazia Schiavo, Andrea Concetti, Hana Lee, Andrea Bernard, Alessandro Trebeschi, Valter Borin, Stefano Simone Pintor, and Eleonora Buratto, and has worked with conductors including Jacopo Brusa and Riccardo Bisatti.
