Aleksandrina Mihaylova was born on April 10, 1998, in Bulgaria. She began her musical journey by learning to play the piano in the city of Shumen. At the age of 14, she started studying opera singing and participated in numerous concerts in Bulgaria.
Her passion and dedication led her to win the 2nd Prize at the «Ghena Dimitrova» International Singing Competition in Pleven in 2019. Since 2017, she had the opportunity to take part in important vocal technique and interpretation Masterclasses conducted by Raina Kabaivanska at the New Bulgarian University and the «Vecchi-Tonelli» Music Institute in Modena, Italy.
In the period from May 19th to 22nd, she successfully participated in the «Etta and Paolo Limiti Award» – 6th International Competition for Young Opera Singers at the Teatro degli Arcimboldi in Milan. During this competition, she achieved significant milestones, winning the first prize, the «Vota la Voce» Award, and the «Young Female Talent» Award.
Aleksandrina was admitted to the La Scala Academy, where she had the opportunity to further refine her vocal and artistic abilities during the 2021/2023 period.
She made her debut at La Scala in September 2022 in the role of Carolina in Domenico Cimarosa’s opera «Il matrimonio secreto.» Subsequently, she participated in the Donizetti Festival in Bergamo in November 2022, portraying the role of Chiara in Gaetano Donizetti’s opera «Chiara e Serafina.»
In October 2022, she took on a new challenge, making her debut in the role of the Little Prince in the children’s opera «Il piccolo principe» by Pierangelo Valtinoni at Teatro alla Scala.
In December 2022, she showcased her talent by portraying the role of Musetta in «La Bohème» at the Sofia Opera in Bulgaria.
In February 2023, she participated in the «Serata Belcanto» concert at the Opera Bastille in Paris.
In November 2023, she will be Musetta/La Bohème at Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino conducted by Giacomo Sagripanti and staged by Bruno Ravella/Stefania Grazioli.
